Het project omvat de herontwikkeling van de projectsite met circa 80 sociale huurappartementen binnen de bestaande bouwzone, gecombineerd met de ontharding en heraanleg van het Papenplein en de herschikking van het aangrenzende parkeercomplex. Voor de integrale uitwerking wordt een ontwerpteam aangesteld dat instaat voor het afbraakdossier, het nieuwbouwproject en de infrastructuurwerken, inclusief de studies en opvolging inzake architectuur, stabiliteit, technieken, EPB en ventilatie.
