Het Vlaams Instituut voor de Zee (VLIZ) onderzoekt de aankoop van een kwalitatief hoogstaand systeem voor de analyse van broeikasgassen (GHG) dat in staat is om gelijktijdig de molaire fracties van koolstofdioxide (CO2), methaan (CH4), distikstofoxide (N2O) en waterdamp (H2O) te bepalen. Het systeem zal worden gebruikt in het kader van de deelname van VLIZ aan het Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS). De geproduceerde resultaten zullen worden ingediend bij ICOS, maar ook bij de SOCAT-database (Surface Ocean Carbon Atlas). EN: Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) is investigating the purchase of a high-quality system for the analysis of greenhouse gases (GHG) capable of simultaneously determining the molar fractions of carbon dioxide (CO₂), methane (CH₄), nitrous oxide (N₂O) and water vapour (H₂O). The system will be used as part of VLIZ’s participation in the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS). The results produced will be submitted to ICOS, as well as to the SOCAT database (Surface Ocean Carbon Atlas).
